Enrollment can be found on the member app, the member portal, or in-person at the GMCF front desk.
What two weeks are off?
Linda, there is no clinic on December 23rd or 30th. The clinic actually ends January 20th. Have you signed up? If not, I know it is full right now.
Thank you! No, I have not. We will be leaving in early January. It looks like a great clinic; I hope it is offered again in late spring.
Hi everyone! I was hoping someone can provide me some advice. I am planning a small friendly pickleball tournament as part of a wedding event for our wedding guests. The event would be in late June on a Friday. We are getting married in East Montpelier, so looking at venues around the Montpelier area. Ideally we have 3 or more courts available. Let me know if anyone has any advice on good options. Thank you!! Michael
Michael, The PB courts in Barre are the best, but you will run into the Barre crowd on a Friday evening. You should ask David Rouleau. I did want to mention that should your wedding venue fall through, I host weddings at our farm in Washington --> Sky Acres. Check it out! www.skyacresevents.com.
Cheers, Cilla Leavitt
Thank you Cilla! very helpful. And appreciate the offer. Thankfully our host is our parents farm, so shouldn’t be any problems!!
Michael, there are courts at the high school and the Elm Street rec facility. They are first come first serve, however.
I understand there is indoor pickleball at the Moretown school gym. Anyone know more about it? I'm curious about the quality of courts there and the level of play. Thanks
Hey Dan I live in the MRV. In Moretown they only have a single court. The level of play is tends to be on the lower end (maybe lower intermediate). With only a single court it can get crowded but it is inexpensive to play. We have two courts the Warren Elementary school gym with play 3 times a week. Play level is variable with some higher level players. It just depends on who is participating. Also inexpensive to play. We limit sign ups to 12 players and there is typically plenty of chance to play but it might not be at the level you want each game. I hope that helps.
Dan Moretown school requires a signed waiver received at the school office and a $7 fee for the winter. Play is 2x a week, Sunday/Tues limited to 7 players per session. Contact me if you want to sign-up and I'll get you the waiver
Thanks for the feedback. Someone on Waterbury FPF mentioned it as a place to play. I wasn't familiar, so thought I'd ask. You might get some additional interest because of the post. I'm probably more interested in something at the advanced level, however.
No doubt some brave and noble player will step forward for the 8th at 10:00 at MHS tomorrow, 7 is not a good number! Alan R
